Fiji’s premier and only superyacht marina has once again been recognised at an international stage for its efforts in promoting tourism and providing a world-class marina service to a range of customers.

Dave Jamieson of Asia Pacific Superyachts Fiji reports, “Port Denarau Marina, which has been awarded twice as the ‘Best International Marina’ by Marina Industries Association (MIA) between the years 2015 to 2018, has yet achieved another milestone by being inducted in the MIA Hall of Fame at the Marinas19 Gala Dinner held on the Gold Coast on May 28”.

“Our induction into the Hall of Fame is a great achievement not just for us as a marina operator but the entire country,” Port Denarau Marina general manager Cynthia Rasch said, “Since 2015, our efforts and facilities have been consistently recognised both internationally and locally as the marina continues to grow from strength to strength on improving our services and facilities.”

Echoing similar sentiment, Marina Industries Association (MIA) chairman Andrew Chapman said Port Denarau has impressively developed from its humble beginnings to a high-end multi-use international marina facility catering for commercial vessels through to superyacht berthing; haul-out facilities and boatyard operations.

Founded in 1999, Port Denarau Marina has emerged from humble beginnings to grow and develop alongside Fiji’s burgeoning tourism industry into a high-end multiuse marina facility.

With the marinas focus on the importance of protecting the marine and natural environment in a way that makes good business sense, Port Denarau Marina is the only marina in the Pacific Islands to be accredited an “International Level 3 Clean” and “Fish Friendly Marina” status.
